Cairo-born and based in Manama and Vienna, Fouad Samy works across sculpture, fashion, and architecture. His practice is rooted in a dark reductionism shaped by early encounters with the ancient temples of Egypt — spaces defined by mass, silence, and permanence.
Using cut, volume, and plan as primary tools, he develops monolithic objects that exist between archetype and abstraction. A strict monochrome palette reinforces the architectural clarity of the work, where contrast becomes structure and minimalism becomes presence.
Across disciplines, he constructs a transversal universe that functions as autobiography — a pursuit of calm, a confrontation with damage, and a lasting fascination with stark monuments.
