Cairo-born and based in Manama and Vienna, Fouad Samy works across sculpture, fashion, and architecture. His practice is rooted in a dark reductionism shaped by early encounters with the ancient temples of Egypt — spaces defined by mass, silence, and permanence.

Using cut, volume, and plan as primary tools, he develops monolithic objects that exist between archetype and abstraction. A strict monochrome palette reinforces the architectural clarity of his work, where contrast becomes structure and minimalism becomes presence.

His pieces are elegant yet severe, reduced yet monumental. They evoke an imagined utopia composed of balance, restraint, and sculptural purity.

Across disciplines, he constructs a transversal universe that functions as autobiography — a pursuit of calm, a confrontation with damage, and a lasting fascination with stark monuments.
